Who Will the Browns Draft?

It's become abundantly clear in recent weeks who the Cleveland Browns will target when they're on the clock with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which begins at 8 p.m. ET (NFL Network, ESPN, ABC) from Lambeau Field in Green Bay. So is it even worth asking who will the Browns draft?

The NFL draft odds have made it clear who the top three picks will be tonight, with Heisman winner Travis Hunter all but guaranteed to be the Browns' pick at No. 2 once the Tennessee Titans select Miami QB Cam Ward.

๐Ÿค– AI prediction: Who will the Browns draft?

For entertainment purposes, we asked ChatGPT to analyze this year's NFL draft class and team needs before predicting which player the Cleveland Browns will select. Our AI prediction projects that the Browns will draft Travis Hunter.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ AI prediction: Browns will draft Travis Hunter

๐Ÿˆ Best player available: Hunter ranks No. 1 on most NFL analysts' boards - including Dane Brugler's and Daniel Jeremiahโ€™s - and he's the most dynamic, versatile athlete in the draft, with elite upside at both wide receiver and cornerback, two long-term needs for Cleveland.

๐Ÿˆ QB support without reaching: With no franchise QB worth taking here after Cam Ward is gone, the Browns add the most electric weapon in the class to support whoever ends up under center - plus they get a potential CB1 if needed.

๐Ÿˆ Immediate star power: The Browns need a face of the franchise who can elevate both sides of the ball, and Hunter gives them a national name, game-breaking skills, and unmatched two-way ability.

๐Ÿค” Betting takeaway: ChatGPT's AI prediction would mean the Browns drafting Travis Hunter No. 2 overall (-1100). ChatGPT is a large language model and not specifically designed for predicting sporting events, so these projections should be viewed as entertainment or a supplementary data point for your NFL draft betting research.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Favorite to be drafted by the Browns

๐Ÿฆฌ Travis Hunter (-1100)

This is the perfect opportunity for the Browns to add a blue-chip talent while reigniting the fan base's excitement as the team looks to distance itself from the Deshaun Watson era in Cleveland.

Who better to put butts in seats this year than the reigning Heisman winner, especially with the Browns currently slated to start Kenny Pickett or Joe Flacco to start the season? Nobody wants to watch either of those quarterbacks - but they will want to watch Hunter bail them out with acrobatic catches, or by using his cornerback skills to break up would be interceptions.

With no quarterback even close to worth the No. 2 pick once Ward is taken first overall, and Myles Garrett's new extension justifying the Browns taking Hunter over Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter, there is only one option for general manger Andrew Berry.

If Berry, who has stated that the Browns view Hunter as a wide receiver first and a cornerback second, somehow passes on Hunter, the fanbase may riot - even if it's for a fellow blue-chip prospect in Carter. This pick just makes too much sense, and the odds for Hunter to go No. 2 overall are only getting shorter at our best sports betting sites.

The second the first round concludes, Hunter will likely be among the favorites by both the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds and the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds, which makes the position the Browns announce him as at the draft the most intriguing part of their pick.

Only one player in the country averaged 2.51 yards per route run while allowing just a 39.9 NFL QB rating. Berry can't justify passing on Hunter.

๐ŸŽฏ Best long shot bet to be drafted by the Browns

๐Ÿฆฌ Shedeur Sanders (+370)

At this point, it would seem that there's almost no chance Hunter doesn't go No. 2 overall, but that doesn't mean the Browns won't make another massive splash with the No. 33 pick in the NFL draft.

Cleveland controls the second round, and that pick could help the Browns jump back into the first round to address their QB problem - or they could open Day 2 of the draft by selecting a QB who falls to them.

Regardless of how they do it, I think there's a reasonable shot at Berry leaving the NFL draft with both Hunter and his college QB. This would be an ideal circumstance for Shedeur Sanders stepping into a QB-friendly offense run by Kevin Stefanski, who has a history of tailoring his scheme to the strengths of whomever he has under center.

On top of the Stefanski factor, Sanders would get to play with the receiver he just helped win the Heisman by feeding him for 1,258 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns on 96 receptions.

If you saw Colorado play this year, you know Sanders takes the approach of getting the ball to his top playmaker no matter what - this would benefit both Sanders and Hunter. And Sanders would get to throw to Jerry Jeudy and David Njoku, giving him a lethal three-headed pass-catching group.

But maybe the most important factor for this fit is the meddling owner in charge of this floundering franchise. Jimmy Haslam loves getting involved when it comes to polarizing quarterbacks, and they often mean attention for the team, which can lead to ticket sales.

Trust me: everyone will want to get eyes on the Sanders-to-Hunter connection if they hit the pros together, and Haslam knows it. If he makes that happen, a $10 winning bet pays a $37 profit.
